Peter was born, and raised in Little Calumet (East Chicago). Growing up he was member of Holy Trinity Hungarian Church, and St Catherine of Siena. He graduated from Washington H.S., in 1951. Peter married Lillian in 1953, and raised five children. Peter worked as a Mason Bricklayer at LTV Steel, where he retired at 42 years. He was a member of Knights of Columbus #4933. Peter was a member of the Navy Reserves. He was stationed in Virginia and commissioned on the Healey ship. He accomplished so much in his life. He was very proud of his Hungarian heritage; that he owned and operated the European Deli, in Hessville. He was an outdoorsman, and liked camping, and taught his children about nature. Dad was a hard worker, and loved all his children so much. His daughter, Mindy, and granddaughter Ashley, would always tell him, that he is the,” Greatest Dad-Grandpa in the World.” He would tell his kids, that, “Getting Old, is No Deal.” He was the last of the true Gentlemen. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The family would like to thank Hospice of the Calumet at the Riley Home in Munster, IN, for their excellence of Care and Support they gave our big family. Hugs to all them.
