Leonard Charles Cain, 87, was born in Greenville, KY on June 27, 1929. He lived in Crown Point, IN for many years before retiring in 1993 and moving to Leesburg, FL where he passed away on October 26, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife Thelma (Marie); three sons: Danny (Patsy), Larry and Garry (Jennifer); six grandchildren: Stephanie Parker, Melissa Cain, William (Bill) Cain, April McNabb, Adam Cain and Jacob Cain; two step-grandchildren: Krystal Draeger and Jacob Steinberg; twelve great grandchildren; Madeline, Kaylee, Zachary, Andrea, Isabelle, Danny, Sarah, Dylan, Chase, Lance, Jayden, and Nova; one step great grandchild, Mason Draeger. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Ethel; four brothers and three sisters; and great granddaughter Kelly. Friends can greet the family on Tuesday November 1, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home 9039 Kleinman Rd. Highland, Indiana. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday November 2, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. Kuiper Funeral Home. Leonard retired from American Steel Foundry in East Chicago, Indiana. He was a Korean War veteran and lifetime member of the Lowell VFW Post #6841. He loved John Wayne, fishing with his sons and grandchildren and was a devout Chicago Cubs fan.
