Juan Hernandez

Juan is the loving husband of 63 years to Natalia Hernandez; awesome father to Patricia Hernandez, Javier (Karen) Hernandez, Claudia (John) Costello and the late Griselda Sahagun; proud grandfather to Natalie, Panchito, Gonzalo, Clarissa, Daniel, Vivian, Jasmine, Xavier, Juan, Rico, Robert, Gabriela and J.J.; great-grandfather to to Isaiah, Angelina, Adrian, Joshua, Frank, John; cherished brother to Antonio Hernandez, Maria Solis, the late Victoria Medrano; fond uncle to many.

Juan was a member of the teamster union # mead packers for 35 years. He had a green thumb and was an avid gardener. He enjoyed growing and giving flowers to his bride of 63 years, which he and her were inseparable. Juan was a master griller, especially his famous hot dogs. He loved and enjoyed sharing his favorite old time, westerns, war, cop movies with different members of his family, which everyone will have a private connection with. Mostly, he loved spending time with his family, especially the Sunday morning menudo. A special thanks to his son, Javier, for all of his excellent health expertise.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 3:00-8:00 pm at Kuiper Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 12:00 noon at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (3200 E. 91st. Street; Chicago, iL 60617). He will be entombed in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
