Jack Dean Davis

Jack D. Davis age 83 of Crown Point, IN passed away into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Thursday May 15, 2014. Jack was born in Gary, IN on July 6, 1930. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Leonard & Lauretta Marie Davis; one sister Dorothy; one brother Jimmy. He is survived by his wife Aletha, four daughters Paula (Randy) Lott, of Kildeer, Il, Karen (Carl) Goodman of King, North Carolina, Teresa (Gary) Jackson of Marietta Georgia; Janet (Richard) Leamon of Chattanooga, Tennessee, 12 grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Sunday May 18,2014; at 2;00 pm at Dyer Baptist Church(735 -213th Street) Dyer, IN Pastor David Atkinson officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday May 17th, 2014 from 2 to 5 pm at Kuiper Funeral Home9039 Kleinman Rd (two blocks south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN. Jack Graduated from Emerson High School where he played on the basketball team. He served in the army during The Korean Conflict, receiving an honorable discharge. He retired from NIPSCO after 38 years of services
