Diana Karp

Diane Karp, age 79, of Griffith, Indiana passed away peacefully on Monday, April 17, 2023. Diane is the loving wife to the late Bernard Karp; cherished mother to Elizabeth (nee Karp) Lidster and Chris Karp; devoted grandmother to the late Joshua Lidster; fond sister to Susan Preis and the late Carol Ackerman; Aunt to many; cousin to several and special cousin to Kathy Szala; beloved friend to many. Diane was a devoted executive for the Lake Area United Way for over 30 years. Faithful parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church of Griffith for over 50 years. After retirement, Diane loved going to the lake cottage in Michigan, especially with her family. She was an avid gardener, tending to the gardens at her home, her lake house and St. Mary Catholic Church. She touched many lives and will be truly missed. The family finds solace knowing that her husband and her grandson were there to welcome her into the Heavenly Kingdom, in which she richly believed. Visitation will be Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 1:00-5:00 pm at Kuiper Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, April 24, 2023 at 10:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church (525 N. Broad St.; Griffith, IN 46319). She will be laid to rest next to her husband of 57 years at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
