Toby Janett Parsons

Toby Janett Parsons passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at her home. She recently celebrated her 88th birthday.

Toby was predeceased by her son, Martin Parsons and her daughter, Janett Parsons.

Toby is survived by her son, Tony (Grace) Parsons; Grandchildren, Timothy Slane Parsons, Jennifer (Ryan) McDaniel, Christina Price, Mark (Maria) Parsons, Amy (Zachary) Garmer, Carolyn (Camron) Wallace, Zachary Parsons, Marty Parsons and Stacey Parsons; Great-Grandchildren, Aubrey, Liam, Dylan, JoElle, Megan, Jazmyne, Lacey, Brandon, Ezra, Luca, Oscar, Amelia, Israel, Eilish, Emilia, Ezekiel, and Colton.

After rearing her three children, Toby was caregiver for her daughter, aunt, mother and sister. Never doing anything for herself, she found purpose in doing for others. Toby loved, loved, loved babies! She was an expert seamstress and each baby girl received exquisite dresses with matching slips, bloomers, socks and bows. Not to be left out, she made the boys pajamas and all have special baby blankets. Her personal motto, “I always do everything just right” showed in the perfection of each creation.

In her later years, grandchildren lived with Toby until she moved to Gastonia, NC. There she lived with her son, Tony (Grace) and his mother-in-law, Sarah Whitescarver.

Toby was content in her new home and died peacefully in her sleep.

She will be remembered for her love of music, sense of humor, beautiful creations, but most of all, her love of family.

A Celebration of Toby's life will be held Friday, May 24, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at The Journey Church, High Point, NC.
