Raymond Eugene Anderson

Raymond was born in Dunn, NC on January 2, 1945 to David A. Anderson and Vergie Allen Anderson. He graduated from Ragsdale High School and also with honors from Guilford Technical Institute with a degree in Electronics. Ray served in the U.S. Army, HQ Company 2nd Battalion 87th infantry in West Germany 82 Airborne. He also served in the Air National Guard at Badin Lake. Ray was a loving husband and good father to his sons Shawn and Chad. He enjoyed watching TV and spending time with family.

Ray was preceded in death by is father, David Anderson; his mother, Vergie Poland; his stepfather, Harry Tucker Poland; and his sister Brenda Tuner.

Surviving are his sons, Shawn Anderson (Patricia) ,and Chad Anderson; his special mom, Joyce Anderson, grandchildren, Stevven (Christy) and Kristian (Bryan); great-grandchildren Brycen, Cadey, Kali, Kaila, Braxton; and his former wife Sharon Anderson.

A Celebration of Ray's Life will be Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 12p-2p in the Chapel of Sechrest-Davis Funerals and Cremations, 976 Phillips Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
