Patsy Sloan Manning

Mrs. Manning was born in Bastrop, LA on September 14, 1933 to Lafayette Thomas and Hazel Weisner Sloan. She served as a legal secretary for many years. Mrs. Manning was a member of Friendly Hills Presbyterian Church in Jamestown and was a former teacher of Bible Study Fellowship. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Bowden Manning in 2002.

Surviving are her daughter; Katherine Manning Wingate of Beavercreek, Ohio and two sons; James Sloan Manning and William Manning, both of High Point. She has one sister, Sarah Davies of Centennial, Colorado and seven grandchildren: Leighton and Justin Wingate, Joshua and Jonathan Manning, Trevor, Alexander, and Olivia Kate Manning.

Funeral Services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m.in Friendly Hills Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends in the Educational Building of the church from 1:00 until 2:00 Monday prior to the service.

The family has requested that memorials be directed to the Friendly Hills Mission Fund, 1450 Guilford College Road, Jamestown, NC 27282.

Following the service, Mrs. Manning will be transferred to the Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, Mississippi for burial services in the Lambert Cemetery.
