Mrs. Magdalene Stanley Fowler, 82, a resident of North Pointe Assisted Living, Archdale, went to see Jesus and walk on the streets of gold and see the walls of jasper Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the High Point Regional Hospital.
Magdalene was born in Randolph County, September 23, 1932, a daughter of the late Fred and Minnie Linville Stanley. She was employed by Reeves Brothers and Barnhardt Mfg. for several years. Magdalene enjoyed being a homemaker, cooking for her family and friends. She loved flowers, shopping, western movies and gospel music. Magdalene was a faithful member of Blood Bought Baptist Church in Thomasville and loved her church family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Fowler, her twin brother, Bobby D. Stanley and brother, Fred Stanley, Jr.
Surviving are a daughter, Tammy Hutchens Jones and husband Terry; three sons, Jay Hutchens (Peggy), Jeff Hutchens (Mitzi) and Wayne Fowler (Jessica); two sisters, Shirley Hamilton (Jack) and Brenda Gail Collins; five brothers, Edell, Arvil, (twins), Johnny and Jackie Stanley and Gurney Garrett; nine grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, an extra special friend, Bobby Craven and her North Pointe family.
A Celebration of Magdalene’s Life will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Davis Funerals and Cremations Chapel by Pastor Brad Bingham. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Blood Bought Baptist Church, 518 Reid St., Thomasville, NC 27360.
