Mr. John Palmer Clark Sr., 85, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at his High Point residence. John was born on April 4, 1927. Passing on the highway to heaven John passed his new great granddaughter Lillian Faye Jones whose mother Katie was so proud on this day of December 12, 2012.
Preceding him in death was his son John Palmer Clark Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Joan Ferguson Clark, four children, two sons: Tim Clark, Tony Clark; two daughters: Pam Clark Sheree Clark, two daughters in law; Laura Clark and Phyllis Clark. He had four grandchildren: Chris Cox, Justin Freeman, Katie Jones and Makenzie Clark.
John was in the Furniture Industry for over 67 years being involved in every facet from manufacturing to delivery. John enjoyed driving tractor trailers, wrestling, cards, bowling, baseball, football and even racing cars.
John will be remembered as a decent and spirited man that found the humor in every opportunity he was given.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 16, at 2:00pm with Sechrest Funeral Home on Lexington Ave. High Point, North Carolina, followed by visitation.
