Esther Byrd Lowe

Mrs. Lowe was born in Rhonda, NC on January 12, 1926 to James Thomas and Lessie Jollie Byrd. She graduated from Rhonda High School and Jones Business College. Mrs. Lowe was employed with Adams Millis Company as a supervisor for thirty five years. Mrs. Lowe was a member of Oak Hill Friends Meeting, the Friends United Meeting, and the American Business Women’s Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Anderson Lowe.

Surviving are her children; Janice Tatum and husband James of Raleigh, and Rene Nance and husband Sidney of Woodbridge, VA. There are six grandchildren: Mike Tatum and wife Jennifer, Brian Tatum and wife Liz, Jennifer Welker and husband Isaac, Amy Ketterman and husband Matt, Brad Nance and wife Jen, and Kevin Nance and wife Allison; five great grandchildren; Tatum Welker, Kenzie Grace Welker, Braxton Ketterman, Asher Tatum, and Caden Nance.

Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday at 12 noon in Oak Hill Friends Meeting by the Reverend Terry Kersey and Reverend John Sides. The family will receive friends at the Meeting House one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Interment will follow the service in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be directed to Oak Hill Friends Meeting, 2001 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
