Carolyn Albertson

Carolyn Barr Albertson, age 87, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024 following several years of declining health.

Carolyn was born in High Point, September 4, 1937, a daughter of the late Ed and Myrtle Lee Gardner Barr.

She was married to the love of her life, Larry Dean Albertson for 54 years until his passing in 2009. Carolyn worked with Belk-Beck for many years and retired from Dillard's in 2002. She was a loving and strong parent that put faith, family and the needs of others as the most important priorities in her life. In her later years, she enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and loved everyone the same. Carolyn was a faithful member of High Point Friends Meeting. She was preceded in death by her son, Andrew Dean Albertson, grandson, Kent Barr Hayworth and her sister, Emily Barr Spaugh.

Surviving are a daughter, Leigh Hayworth (Scott); a son, Eddie Albertson (Karen); daughter in law, Grace Albertson; grandchildren, Paul Barbry (Randi), Alex Barbry, Lance Hayworth, Andrew Albertson; great-grandson, Cole Barbry.

A Celebration of Carolyn's life will be held Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 1 p.m. in the Sechrest-Davis Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service until 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Trellis Supportive Care, Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
