Wilma L. Hill

Wilma was a devoted wife of Frank Hill for 52 wonderful years. Together, they shared a life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. She was a loving and supportive mother to Laura (Michael) Gurrera, whose life was enriched immeasurably by her mother’s guidance and affection.

As a grandmother also known as “Nanny”, Wilma’s love knew no bounds. She took immense joy in the company of her grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, and Kayleah, who were the light of her life. Her presence was a constant source of warmth and joy for them, and her memory will live on in their hearts.

Wilma was also a beloved aunt to many, each of whom cherished her for her kindness, wisdom, and the special bond she shared with them. Her legacy of love and generosity extended far beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of all who knew her.

Wilma’s family invites friends and loved ones to join them in remembering her remarkable life. A visitation for Wilma will be held Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Homes, 125 W Old Country Road, Hicksville, NY 11801. A prayer service will be held at 7:00pm. A committal service will occur Friday, August 30, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Calverton National Cemetery, Wading River, NY 11792.
