After immigrating to the United States, Kathy began a great Irish American adventure with her siblings, cousins, and dear friends. She achieved that dream through hard work, traveling, dancing, and forging her own path. Kathy was the first in her family to obtain a college education with a degree as a Registered Nurse. Whether waitressing or nursing, she always endeavored to make others feel comfortable, special, and cared for. Those who knew Kathy best will always remember her laughter, flair, and grace.

Galway, Ireland), sister and brother-in-law, Rose and John McNicholas of Hicksville, NY., and sister-in-law Mary Garvin (Kilgalligan, Co. Mayo, Ireland). She is also survived by her many cousins and will be remembered as the “cool aunt” by her nieces and nephews in the US and Ireland.
She was predeceased in life by her parents, Bridget and John Garvin, special aunts and uncles Ann, Mary, Catherine John, James, and Patrick Garvin, brothers John (Jack), Thomas (Tim), sister Bridget (Bridie) Slaven, brothers-in-laws Edward Slaven and Fintan Timmins, sister-in-law Bridget (Bridie) Garvin, niece, Bridget (Breda) Garvin, nephews -in-law Douglas Hitzler and Harry Primrose and great nephew Patrick Wright.
