It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jean Etienne, born on August 4, 1958, in Arcahaie, Haiti, and departed from this world on February 22, 2024. Jean was the cherished child of Elysen Etienne and Elaide Etienne.
Jean's life was marked by dedication and passion, particularly in the field of education. As a professor, he imparted knowledge and wisdom to countless students at La Digue Bobby in Haiti, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of those he taught. His commitment to education was a testament to his belief in the transformative power of learning.
Beyond the classroom, Jean was a loving family man. He leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and guidance for his many children and grandchildren. His memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him, both as a mentor in academia and as a beloved family member.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation scheduled for Friday, March 8th, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Homes, 125 Old Country Rd, Hicksville, New York 11801. The gathering will be a time to share memories, offer condolences, and celebrate the rich and meaningful life that Jean Etienne led.
