Frank Wayne Boccio, 53, a long-time resident of Hicksville, New York, passed away on November 19, 2024. Born on August 3, 1971, to Frank and Roberta Boccio, Frank was a cherished husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, and a friend to all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Frank is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Palmer, with whom he shared a deep bond of love and laughter. He was the proud father to his children: Christina Muscarella (Joseph), Frank Boccio Jr. (Emily), Nicole Boccio (Jared Walker), Stephen McDonald, Shannon Hoke (James Hoke), and Nicholas McDonald (Megan). Frank was overjoyed to be a grandpa to his soon-to-be-born grandson Lorenzo Frank Muscarella and his little “Pickle” Dylan Hoke, who brought him immeasurable joy.
Frank had a heart as big as his smile. He was the type of person who could light up a room with his warmth, humor, and kindness. He loved spending time with his family, who were the center of his world. His family lovingly describes him as a gentle, funny, and deeply caring man—someone who was always there to offer a helping hand or a listening ear.
Frank had many passions. He loved to travel, with Italy holding a special place in his heart. But no place made him feel more alive than at home with his family. His love for animals, particularly dogs, was unmatched, and his fascination with all creatures great and small earned him the endearing nickname "Dr. Do-little." His fascination with sea life was more than just admiration—he was truly obsessed, keeping multiple aquariums at home to nurture his love of the ocean's wonders.
Frank was a proud member of the Local 3 Electrical Union and worked with DAL Electric. His work ethic and dedication were matched only by his warmth and humor. Above all, Frank was known for his generous, funny, and kind heart, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and again from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Homes, 125 W. Old Country Road, Hicksville, New York. A Funeral Service will be held that evening at 7:30 pm. Private cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society and the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
Frank's legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
