She was the beloved wife of the late Wageeh and a loving mother to Christine (Frank) Schwender, John (Dina), and Mark Soliman. Cherished Teta to Eric, Ashley, Julia, Monica, and Nicholas. She is also survived by her siblings, Vivian and Elias.
Eileen was a champion swimmer, excelling in the butterfly stroke growing up in Egypt. This passion for swimming reflected her dedication and competitive nature, qualities that she carried into every aspect of her life.
Eileen made significant contributions to science and business. She was on the first teams of scientists to analyze rocks from the moon in Australia, showcasing her brilliant mind as a chemist. In America, she became a respected business owner, first as a real estate agent and later owning an insurance brokerage company that specialized in taxi insurance in NYC.
An avid Rummikub player, Eileen proudly mastered the game among her friends. Her strategic thinking and playful spirit made her a formidable opponent and a beloved companion at the game table.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Homes, located at 125 W Old Country Road, Hicksville, NY 11801. A Religious Service will take place on Monday, September 30, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Mark's Coptic Church, 90 Woodbury Rd, Woodbury, NY 11797. A Committal Service will follow at St. Margaret's Cemetery, 1000 Washington Ave, Plainview, NY 11803.
Eileen will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
