It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Andrea Davis (née Bellafiore), known to many as “Miss Mary Kay Chick,” on November 19th, 2024. Andrea was born and raised in East New York, Brooklyn, and moved to Hicksville in 1977, where she spent the majority of her life raising her family. A woman of great faith, boundless love, and contagious energy, she brought light into the lives of all who knew her.
Andrea was the loving wife of Harvey Davis for nearly 50 years. Together, they created a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. She was the proud mother of Samantha and Craig, and a beloved sister to Marianne Myers. Andrea was the daughter of the late Dan and Sally Bellafiore, who instilled in her the values of family, kindness, and resilience.
She was also a cherished aunt to Todd and Sharon Myers, and a doting great-aunt to their son Logan, her “special little buddy.” Andrea’s love extended beyond her immediate family to relatives and friends across the country, from New York to Florida and everywhere in between. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
As a pet parent, Andrea cared for her beloved animals, including Jazmine, Kiwi, and the late Champ. Her family and pets were always at the center of her world, and she showered them with affection and devotion.
A woman of unrelenting faith and zest for life, Andrea was a true inspiration to everyone who met her. She had an infectious spirit and a unique ability to make those around her feel special. Whether in her beautiful garden, which was admired by many, or in her home where she loved to host gatherings, Andrea’s creativity and hospitality were unmatched. She was a counselor, confidant, and healer to those in need, always offering a listening ear and a warm heart.
Andrea’s love for life was evident in everything she did. She was a genuine social butterfly and fashionista, always dressed to the nines and the bell of the ball, no matter the occasion. Her glamour and class made her a beloved figure wherever she went. With her radiant personality, Andrea brought joy, love, and light into every room, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A true angel on earth, Andrea will be missed beyond measure, but her spirit will live on in the memories she leaves behind.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Happy Hands Ministry, a charity close to Andrea’s heart. Donations can be made at www.shawnhurley.org, by scrolling down and selecting “Ways to Give.”
Andrea’s legacy of love, faith, and joy will continue to inspire and uplift us all.
