Hickory – Youa Chang, 62 of Hickory passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loved ones, pastors and church members.
Born on March 21st, 1962, in Laos, Youa was the daughter of Shoua Lue Chang and Tong Vang Chang. Youa loved to sew Hmong clothing as a hobby. She was loved by her family and church family, and she will be dearly missed.
Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Shoua Lue Chang and Tong Vang Chang; daughter, Christy Mai Chang; brother and sister-in-law, Shong Leng Chang and Mai Cha Vang; sisters and brother in laws, Shoua Moua and Joua Vang Moua, Chay Chang, Kia Xiong and Wuntrue Xiong, and Julie Jeu Chang, Lee Chang and Nhia Fue Lee, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Hmong Unified Chapel on Saturday November 23, 2024, from 8am to 5pm with Pastor Toua Khang officiating. She will be laid to rest at Catawba Memorial Park on Monday November 25th, 2024, at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christy Mai Chang.
