GREENSBORO – William (Bill) Wendell Marr Jr. 69 of Greensboro passed away on December 8, 2024.
Born on February 10, 1955 in Catawba County to Joyce C. Greene and the late William Wendell Marr Sr. Bill was loving, generous, outgoing, friendly, and full of laughter. He enjoyed fishing, the beach, reading, history and family gatherings. Bill graduated from UNC Greensboro and did research.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Joyce C. Greene, brother, Darrell Marr and wife Penny, half-sister, Rachel Marr; nieces, Angela Harbert and husband Eric, Megan Oxford and husband Jake; half-niece, Amber Webster; great-nieces and nephews, Mason, Aiden, Emma Harbert, Colton and Gracelyn Oxford; special aunts and numerous other family members.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 12 PM at Catawba Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 AM – 12 Pm at the funeral home.
