Thomas Allen Church

Thomas Allen Church, 74, of Hildebran, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory. Born April 18, 1947 in Caldwell County, he was the son of the late Thomas Kitch Church and Nellie Witherspoon Church. A member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Connelly Springs, Allen was retired as a long distance truck driver.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Church Estep; brother, Owen Church; and sisters, Ester Hamby and Sue Bowman.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, Frances Willis Church; son, Matthew Lucas Church; brother, Gary Church; grandchildren, Joshua Thorne Pierce, Becca Frances Smith, Jerry Lee Whisnant and Jacob Seth Estep; and 4 great-grandchildren; and his two labs, Zorro and Lawyer.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Hickory at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 28, 2021 with Pastor Nick Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Drum Funeral Home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 p.m.
