SCOTTIE RAY SIGMON – Scottie Ray Sigmon of Hudson, 30 of Hudson was called home to be with his dad on July 26, 2014. Born on April 5, 1984 in Catawba County, he was the son of Theresa Scarlett Schwab and the late Danny Ray Sigmon. Scott was a loving fiancée, son, father, brother, grandson, great-grandson, uncle, and friend. As a child he loved to arm wrestle, build model cars and play video games with his dad. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a UNC Tarheel fan. Scott was a hard worker who was very talented. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t do. He loved to spend time with his family, working in the yard, was such a loving and giving person who would give the shirt off his back if they needed it. He loved his LOUD MUSIC, BAGGY JEANS, and his JORDANS, he was a LOUD BOY. In addition to his dad, he was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Tony Sigmon, and Pastor John Ellis, Albert “Butch” Bradshaw, step grandfather, Frank Griffin; step-brother, Josh. Survivors include his fiancée and high school love, Sherry Mounts, sons, Taryn Ray, Cameron Scott, Tristen Alexander, Jayce Scott Sigmon; step-sons, Shawn Thomas, Sheldon Lee Suttle; mother, Theresa Scarlett Schwab, grandparents, Peggy Griffin, Judy Carolyn Bradshaw, Ronnie Lee Scarlett and wife Jean, brothers, Phillip Barkley, Timothy Schwab, sister, Scarlett “Starlett” Schwab; nephew, Chandler Reigh Schwab; great-uncle, Bruce Ellis; aunts, Nan Whitener, Patrice Scarlett; uncles, Curtis Scarlett, Ray Scarlett, Patrick Scarlett; and numerous other family members. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, July 30 2014 at 2 PM at Catawba Funerals & Cremations with Pastor Tony Childers officiating. Burial will directly follow at Catawba Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12-2 PM at the funeral home.
