Rose P. Lynn

Rose loved being around her family and her hobbies included bowling, bingo and playing cards.

Rose was born June 1, 1928 in Catawba Co. to the late Pinkney and Myrtle Hunt Poovey.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Leland Augustus Lynn, brothers: Bud, Paul and Sam, sisters: Faye and Jo Ann .

Surviving are sons: David Lynn and wife Diane of Wake Forest and Donald Lynn and wife, Meg of Charlotte, daughters: Karen Nain and husband, John of Hickory and Sandy Fletcher and husband, Gordon of Hickory, granddaughters: Heather Ellis of Wake Forest, Ashley DeStefano of Charlotte, and Lea Lynn of Charlotte and Nicole Coffey of Conover, grandsons: Jason Nain of Concord, Wesley Fletcher of Hickory and Hampton Fletcher of Hickory, 2 great grandchildren and 2 on the way. Sisters: Willie Alice Bumgarner of Hickory, Doris Whitener of Newton and Carol Crouch of Conover, brothers: Roy Poovey of Troutman and Wayne Poovey of Hickory.

Rose was a member of Miller’s Lutheran Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Her service will be Saturday, January 8, at 3:00 P. M. with the Reverend Robert T. Alle officiating. Her body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 – 7:00 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home.
