He was born on May 13, 1943, to the late Andrew Jackson Berry and Bertha Berniece Thorne Berry in Catawba County. Bob was a United States Army Veteran who served in Vietnam. Bob loved the Lord, his church, the music ministry, his family, and enjoyed playing golf with his son and grandsons. Bob gave all the glory to Jesus for all that He was blessed.
Preceding him in death are his parents, his first wife, Judy Brittain Berry; second wife, Wanda C. Berry; son, Carson Dean Berry; step daughter, Donna Carpenter; sisters: Myrtis Berry Brittain, Bessie Sharp, Dorothy Munday; brothers: Everette Berry and Thomas Berry.
Survivors include his brother, Fred Berry of Connelly Springs; grandchildren: Connor Berry of Hudson, Dakota Berry (Blair) of Missouri, Austin Berry of Connelly Springs, great grandson, Jude Berry of Missouri; step daughters: Janice Ingle (Jim), Jessica Poarch (Tylor); a special friend, Courtney Keaton and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. at the church. Pastor Marty Bess and Pastor Devin Hildebrand will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park. Military Honors will be rendered by the American Legion Post 544.
