MARY DELLINGER WRIGHT HICKORY- Mary Dellinger Wright, 92, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 19, 2016. Mary was born March 14, 1923 in Hickory, NC to the late Bertha Melissa May Dellinger and Archibald Teddy Dellinger. She served as Office manager and Bookkeeper for Harold and Clark Architects for over 30 years. In addition, she was very active in her local church First Baptist Church, as well as, Lakeview Baptist Church and New Hope Baptist Church, and The Business and Professional Women’s Club. Mary enjoyed all types of arts and crafts and was always willing to share her creations and patterns with friends and family. She will be best remembered as a loving wife for 63 years to the late Brooks Wright. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Kathleen Dellinger Propst and Jerry Ray Dellinger. Survivors include her children, Sandra (Mike) Sigmon, and Mike (Sandra) Wright; grandchildren, Jason Sigmon, Tammy Williams, Kevin (Ashley) Wright, and Christy (Cory) Mansfield; great-grandchildren, Payton Williams, Reagan Williams, Lane Herman, Owen Herman, and Brooks Wright; siblings, Bill Dellinger, Jane McMillan, Millie Rockett, and Bob (Bobbie) Dellinger; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at 3pm at Catawba Funeral Home with Joel Harrison officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-3pm at the funeral home.
