Lena Jeanette (Brittain) Hildebran

She was born on October 7, 1932 to the late Pinkney Brittain and Tempie Miller Brittain in Burke County. Lena was a loyal, compassionate, and dedicated woman. She worked at Belk for over 35 years in the shoe department, where she met and touched so many lives doing what she loved. Lena was most proud to be her husband’s co-pilot. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Carolyn Yoder, Lucille Wilson, Evelyn Brittain; and brother, Wayne Brittain.

Survivors include her loving husband, G. Paul Hildebran of the home; daughter, Pamela H. Bilger and husband Wm. Thomas of Denver, NC; grandchildren, Kristen Hipp and husband Ryan of Charlotte, Wm. Scott Bilger of Charlotte; sisters, Joyce Ballard of Stanley, Shirley Richards of Hildebran; brother, Glenn “Bud” Brittain of Burke County; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Burke Chapel UMC. Gaile Williams will officiate the service.
