Hildebran- Mr. Leeroy “Popeye” Hildebran, 71, of Hildebran, NC passed away Monday, August 13, 2018 at Frye Regional Medical Center. He was born in Wake County on November 20, 1946, he was the son of the late Lewis Hildebran Sr and Vicie Carswell Hildebran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Hildebran Barnes and a sister-in-law, Ida Mae Hildebran. He was retired from I.L.G Hosiery Mill after 30 plus years of service. He is survived by his brothers, Lewis Hildebran, Jr of Hildebran and Paul Hildebran of Statesville; a number of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great, great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 15, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hickory Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hickory Funeral Home with Reverend Earnest Richards officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park. Arrangements are with Hickory Funeral Home.
