Hickory – Jeffery Allen Payne, 64 of Hickory went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 3rd, 2024 at Catawba Valley Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Born on August 13th, 1959 in Catawba County, NC, Jeffery was the son of William Glenn Payne and Nancy Louise Price Payne Davis. Jeff was active in the Walkin’ Roll program for those with special needs and the Adult Life program. He was loved by everyone that knew him and he loved everybody. Jeff will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his father, William Glenn Payne and his brother, Curtis Payne.
Those left cherish his memory include, his mother, Nancy Davis; 4 nephews, Bill Payne, Curtis Payne, Jonathan Payne and Jordan Payne; 4 great nephews, Cooper, Devin, Ayden and Porter; 6 great nieces, Morgan, Madison, Laney, Makenzie, Annie and Alice.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Catawba Funeral Home on Saturday, June 8th, 2024 at 12:00 pm with Pastor Arlie Roten officiating. He will be laid to rest at Catawba Memorial Park following the service.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Walkin’ Roll in Hickory and or Adult Life Program in Hickory in Jeffery’s name.
