Hubert was born March 13, 1926, in Belmont to the late John Leopold and Carrie Anderson.
He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church where he was a deacon. He has been a Sunday school teacher, youth leader and a member of the men's Bible class. He was a decorated career veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in World War II, and retired from Suburban Trust/BOFA in property management.
Surviving are his wife, Gladys Duncan Anderson of the home; son, John Anderson of Atlanta; daughter, Joy Pals and husband, Chuck, of Maryland; sister, Frances Abernethy of Vale.
Services will be Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Corinth Baptist Church, with the Rev. William Kanupp officiating.
A graveside service will follow on Monday at 4 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Taylorsville, with graveside military honors conducted by American Legion Post 48.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Hickory Funeral Home.
