Mrs. Eunice Matthews Fisher

Eunice was born June 23, 1941 in Catawba Co. to the late J. Lester Matthews and Ida Rhoney Matthews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Herman, and four brothers: James, Glenn, Carl and Harold Matthews all of Vale.

Surviving are a son, Robert “Bobby” Herman-Smith and partner, Jeff Herman-Smith and grandson, Colin Herman-Smith all of Matthews, N. C.; a daughter, Lisa Herman Thomas and husband, Fred Thomas, two grandsons, Adam Miller and Justin Miller all of Carter County, TN., two sisters, Virginia Leonhardt of Vale and Alice Luenet Deal of Hickory. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

Family visitation will be Friday, June 18, from 11:00 A. M. until 12:45 P. M. at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 8840 Cooksville Road in Vale.

Funeral service will follow at 1:00 P. M. at Ebenezer United Methodist Church with the Reverends David McCauley and Tony Matthews officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
