She was born on May 1, 195 6 to the late Eugene Arthur Laux and Claire Kayo Litchrod in Newark, NJ. Dorothy was an adventurous soul. Her love of hiking, camping, backpacking and traveling the world were just a few of the many things she enjoyed doing. Dorothy served in many capacities, mother, grandmother, sister, nurse and missionary. She dedicated her passion of nursing to help those in need traveling to Haiti a few times to serve where she could. Above all, she loved her family and precious fur baby, Penny with all of her heart.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Joshua Burns and wife Leeanna of Vale; grandchildren, Logan Clark, Elijah Burns, Adlynn Burns; sister, Beatrice Conover; numerous nieces and nephews; and her fur baby, Penny.
