He was born on April 20, 1942 to the late Harrell Turner Beeker and Mary Willa Boyd Beeker in Catawba County. Charles never met a stranger and was dearly loved by everyone who met him. His pride and joy was his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Flo Icard and her husband Thomas Icard Sr..
Survivors include his daughter, Mary Kerns and husband Frank; grandchildren, Justin Kerns, David Kerns; nieces, Mary Stilwell and husband Greg, Karen Icard; and nephew, Thomas Icard Jr..
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 until 1:45p.m. at the church. Pastor Alec Fisher will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
