Catherine Olivia Hedrick

Catherine Olivia “Lib” Turbyfill Hedrick, 86, of Hickory, NC, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born May 26, 1932 in Catawba County NC, she was the daughter of the late Dewey Sidney Turbyfill and Ocie Mae Angel Turbyfill. Lib was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church (ELCA).

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Aaron Hedrick and son, Brian Keith Hedrick.

Survivors include her daughter, Cathy H Hamrick and husband Bill of Quitman, TX; son, Ralph Allen Hedrick and wife Sharon of North Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Andrea Slusher and husband Kevin, Shelly Clark and husband Brian, Aaron Hamrick and Hannah Jane Hedrick; great-grandchildren, Hayden Slusher, Cason Clark, Jaxon Clark and Harper Slusher; brother, Carrol Turbyfill and sister, Theresa Propst.

A Celebration of Olivia’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 14, 2018 at St. Stephens Lutheran Church (ELCA) in Hickory with the Rev. Greg Brown officiating. A graveside service will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. –1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Stephens Lutheran Church (ELCA), 2259 12th Ave NE, Hickory, NC 28601.
