Annie Setzer Huffman

She was born on August 19, 1939 to the late James Alfred Setzer and Minnie Catherine Herman Setzer in Catawba County. Annie was a lifelong member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church Mo-Synod.

Along with her parents, her husband of 58 years, Jerry Donald Huffman who passed away in 2019; sisters, Carrie West, Catherine Cruse, Ruby Setzer; brothers, Jim, Grover, and Tom Setzer preceded her death.

Survivors include her daughter, Denise Huffman Shook and husband Michael of Conover; son, Kevin Huffman and wife Darlene of Hickory; granddaughter, Kimberly Demetroules and husband George of FL; honorary grandchildren, Ashlen Cheers of Granite Falls, Jessica Frederick and husband Matthew of Hickory; honorary daughter, Donna Houston of Conover; great grandchildren, Evan, Luciana, Abel, Leah, Kate; sister, Jeannie Bowman of Hickory; brothers, Lewis Setzer and wife Lala of Hickory, Robert Setzer and wife Gloria of Granite Falls, Richard Setzer of Granite Falls; her beloved fur-son, Sparky; and her extended family, Dean and Lorrayne Clark.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Hickory Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 1:00 pm at St. Stephens Lutheran Church Mo-Synod. Pastor David Ziehr and Pastor Shea Pennington will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Frederick, Jeff Hollar, Eric Johnson, Chris Miller, Jason Walker, Joey Burleson; and honorary pallbearer will be Abel Frederick.
