Lincolnton – Allen Odell Martin, 77 of Lincolnton passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022 at his residence.
Born on November 16, 1944 in Burke County, NC, he was the son of the late Odell and Frances Stillwell Martin. Allen was an avid sci-fi enthusiast and loved working with electronic technology. He worked for General Electric for almost 30 years and most recently with the City of Hickory as a lab technician.
In addition to his parents, Allen is preceded in death by a brother, Bob Martin.
Those left to cherish his memory include, a son, Gregory Martin; a daughter, Lorrie Martin; a granddaughter, Chloe Witherspoon and a son-in-law, Chad Witherspoon.
A Memorial Service will be held at Catawba Funeral Home on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.StJude.org in Allen’s name.
