Nelson was born in Dade County Florida on August 17th, 1963. He moved with his parents at 6 months old where they eventually ended up residing in Riverside, Ca.
During Nelson‘s lifetime, he at around 11 years old was a paper boy delivering papers as one of his first jobs. Nelson went to Ramona high school in Riverside California. In 1982 he met his soon to be wife, Gina Goodman.

Nelson has worked many jobs; Oxygen Care Unlimited where The company had made him the poster boy for California. That was a true honor. After leaving oxygen care unlimited he took on little rolls here and there eventually ending up in the high desert where he and his wife reside.
April 1999, Nelson passed his test and became a general contractor, where he and his wife would advertise to real estate companies all over the high desert. He focused in property rehabilitation. We ended up getting a contract with Freddie Mac which was a big highlight in our life. Nelson was also able to do rehabilitation work in Hawaii for three years, which was a true blessing for him to experience a different way of life.
Throughout Nelson‘s life he always felt like he was the underdog, however throughout his life he would always seem to help the ones that were down and out. In our business Goodman construction, Nelson would bring in many guys that needed any type of work and show them how to do things and what to do and would allow them to work self contracted to be able to earn a little income. Nelson would give opportunity to take the men that no other companies would ever even think of.
Nelson felt it was important to give the down and out an opportunity of hope, so we would allow different people to stay with us just to get back on their feet.
Nelson would do anything and everything to make money and income for his family, he strived in being able to make sure that we were OK
Nelson John Goodman, is survived by his wife, Gina Goodman; his four children, Elaina, Steven, Brett, and Hailee, and daughter in law Brandy.
Nelson is also survived by his granddaughter, Harmony and soon to be the newest addition to our family, Echo Kinzley Goodman who will be his second grandchild.
Nelson Throughout his life has always thought of himself is not being good enough, not being able to make people happy, not thinking very many appreciated or liked him. I know that during this time that Nelson is actually looking down, and seeing exactly how many people truly appreciated and loved him. Nelson is a great man and truly will be missed, however the legacy that he has made for himself in our family will be carried on.
