Richard "Rick" G. Crocetti, age 78; beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away of Parkinson’s on Sunday, February 9, 2020. He was born December 2, 1941 in Steubenville, Ohio to Violet & Archie Crocetti where he attended Catholic Central High in Steubenville.
Rick came to Las Vegas in 1961 interested in working in the gaming industry. In 1967, he began his first venture working as a security officer at Caesars’ Palace. Later, Rick was promoted Sergeant and Notary for 28 years. His favorite pastimes were golf and dancing with his wife, Rose until she sustained a Spinal Cord Injury, then devotedly spent the rest of his life caring for her.
Years later, Rick returned working in security at the newly built Green Valley Ranch. He had many proud memorable awards. One in particular while working at the Ranch in 2003 was accommodated with high honors from the Las Vegas Security Chief's Association for finding two elementary school sisters missing for two weeks in Henderson.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Violet and Archie Crocetti; infant son, Richard Archie Crocetti. He is survived by his wife, Rose; brothers: Greg (Sue) and Joe Crocetti; sister, Debbie (Ken) Walton; daughter, Sherri Landers (David); grand-daughter, Grace Landers of St. Petersburg, Florida: son, Scott Crocetti; Step-daughter, Debbie Sandoval; step-son, Tony Salazar; and numerous nieces and nephews.
