Raymond "Ray" John Hupf,age 78, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away Friday, October 8, 2021 in Henderson, Nevada. Ray was born in New York City, New York on September 16, 1943 to the late Mable Florence Hupf (Cash) and Raymond F. Hupf who raised him in Queens, New York.
From November 22, 1968 Ray worked as a certified journeyman wireman and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union (“IBEW”). He retired in 2001 and moved to Henderson. Over the years, Ray lived and worked in many places all over the country including Guam, New York, Maui and California.
Ray married the love of his life Carole Sue (Crabill) on August 22, 1992 (29 years) who he met in AA. He was a member of AA for 36 years and loved helping others. He enjoyed telling his life adventures before AA and how it saved his life. He and Carole loved to travel. They traveled to Maui every year and loved to take cruises to tropical destinations. He loved the beach and the sun, as he was the happiest as long as he was near water. He had to be tan year round and if the tan started to fade a new trip was in the works! When he wasn’t in the sun or traveling Ray enjoyed betting on football games or playing table games in the casino’s.
Ray will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Carole; dog Buffy; daughter, Heather Field (William), grandchildren: Blake and Brooklyn; daughter, Cynthia Rodgers (Scott Morton), grandchildren: Brianne, Shawna and Julie, and great granddaughter Avery; stepdaughter, Cindy Riley (Tim), grandchildren: Evan, Garrett and Tyesha; stepson, Scott Zimmerman; sister Janice Bosco (Peter), and many friends. He is preceded in life by his parents and his sister, Carol (Cangemi).
Ray's wish was to have a celebration of life. This shall take place on November 21, 2021 at 1:00pm in Heritage, 445 Heritage Bridge Avenue, Henderson, Nevada 89011.
