Maxine Miller

Maxine Miller, age 78, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021. Maxine was born the only child to Leona Cooper and Max Hinton on May 14, 1943 in La Verkin, Utah. As a child, the family relocated to Henderson, Nevada, where she would grow up and graduate from Basic High School.

Upon graduation Maxine began her working life as a hairdresser. In 1963, she started her family that would lead to her legacy. In 1974, she would change career paths, and would start working in the casino industry, eventually becoming a Casino Cage Manager. In 1995, Maxine would become the founder and CEO of Bulk Carrier Services, a position and company she owned and operated until her passing.

Maxine was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother; whom every aspect of her life was devoted her family and her faith; they were her legacy. Being the owner of her own business afforded her the opportunity to include her family in her professional life, as well as, her personal life she held so dear to her.

Having the right balance in her life was also important to Maxine. In her spare time, she enjoyed painted ceramics, reading, tending to her flower garden, interior designing, and traveling; which included cruises to Alaska, and train trips across Canada. Additionally, her home was always immaculate and she never left her home without her hair done and always properly dressed for the occasion.

Maxine was a driven, kind, and compassionate woman; whom always put her family, friends, and others ahead of herself. She had a heart of gold, never met a stranger, and everyone loved her. Maxine was a "True Lady" and leader, who lived her life to the fullest, and will truly be missed.

Maxine was preceded in death by her father, Max Hinton and her mother, Leona Cooper. She is survived by her children: Dawn M. Sanders (Phil), Toni M. Visser (Lynn), and David M. Warrilow (Elizabeth); 10 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Maxine will be held Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1002 Burkholder Blvd., Henderson, NV 89015. Maxine will be laid to rest at Palm Henderson Cemetery, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015.
