Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Foss passed away unexpectedly on June 29, 2022, at the age of 84. Betty was the youngest of three children born to Fred and Margery Powers in Lister, British Columbia. After marrying her beloved husband Harold, they moved to the U.S. and started a family, having two sons John and Stephen. After Harold’s employment took the family to Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah, in 1970, the family settled in Las Vegas, NV. As a Las Vegas resident Betty pursued a career as a lab technician working for the Clark County Health District for over 30 years and ascended to the position of Chief Lab Tech. Betty was also involved in a multitude of other activities in serving the community. As a longtime member of Christ Church Episcopal, she served on the alter guild, Lobster Fair chairman, Treasure House and event coordinator. She was a member of the Huntridge Teen Clinic and Philanthropic Educational Organization (PEO). Betty is well known for her fierce devotion to family and loyalty to friends. Many have been amazed at her unsurpassed work ethic, constant concern for others and commitment to the Lord. She often sent care packages to her sons and grandsons in college, thoughtful cards to loved ones, and tasty peanut brittle to a lucky few. Her unselfish nature was demonstrated daily. Betty’s passing has brought tremendous sorrow to friends and family. Solace can now be taken in the fact that she is now tending to the rose gardens in Heaven and preparing Harold’s favorite breakfast. Betty is survived by her sons John and Stephen, daughter-in-law Quinn and grandsons Jack and Cole. In-lieu of flowers a donation made be made to the American Cancer Society or Christ Church Endowment Fund.
