Darcy graduated from Vo Tech high school and received an associate’s degree from Clark Community College. She was married to Richard L. Stevens on March 2, 1973. Darcy was gainfully employed by Coast Casinos for over 30 years. She was a member of the Onondaga Indian Tribe (Eel Clan) and grew up on the Tuscarora Indian Reservation in Niagara Falls NY. Darcy had a passion for music and life. Darcy also was an avid contributor to the Defenders of Wildlife as she loved the wolves and wanted to do all she could to save them.
She is survived by her husband Richard L. Stevens, son Jamie L.Stevens, daughter-in-law Netanis D. Stevens, Daughter Correy L. Stevens. Grandchildren Derek Stevens, Hunter J. Merry-Stevens and Nickolas J. Angeletti. Brother John W. Gansworth (Niagara Falls, NY) and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins who all reside on the Tuscarora Indian Reservation.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Palm Boiulder Highway Mortuary and Cemetery, 800 S. Boulder Highway Henderson, NV.
