Carolyn Diana Nadler, age 79, of Henderson, Nevada went into eternal rest at St. Rose Dominican Hospital on August 11, 2021. Born in the city of Los Angeles, California on August 27, 1941, “Carol” as she was called by her friends and family, had fond memories of growing up among the orange, date and avocado groves of southern California. She also loved the outdoors and sunny beaches. She was a graduate of Montebello High School and worked in the banking and business industries as a young adult.
Carol met the love of her life, Ernest Nadler, in 1966 while visiting her cousin at Nellis AFB where he was stationed. They married the following year on November 6, 1967 and they embarked on the adventure of 54 years of marriage together. They had two children whom they raised in the township of New Windsor, New York, where they resided for 28 years. Carol was a devoted and loving mother, sharing her skills of crafting, cooking and various types of sewing with her children. She enjoyed working with children and volunteered her time as a teacher’s aide at St. Joseph’s Elementary School when her children were young. She later worked at the Mid-Hudson Crime Lab at Stewart International Airport, from which she retired in 1998.
She and Ernie spent their retirement years in the Henderson, Nevada area where she enjoyed reading and swimming. She also deeply adored and enjoyed spending time with her five grandchildren. She enjoyed watching professional soccer and was an avid fan of Manchester United of the English Premier soccer league.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, John and Norine Stupin, of Montebello, California. She is survived by her husband Ernest, her son Stephen Nadler and wife Kimberly Nadler of Eagle, Idaho, and her daughter Pamela Onufer and husband Dan Onufer of Rockaway, New Jersey. She is survived by her adoring grandchildren, Max Nadler, Maggie Nadler, Izzy Onufer, Abbey Nadler and Daniel Onufer. She is also survived by her brother Walter Stupin and wife Barbara, her sister Janet Tickenoff and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Funeral arrangements and cremation are being handled by Palm Mortuary at 800 South Boulder Hwy, Henderson, Nevada. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Boulder City, Nevada at 10am on September 24, 2021. Internment following at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada at 11:20am. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name may be made to St. Andrews Catholic Church, 1399 San Felipe Drive, Boulder City, Nevada 89005.
