Alice L. Musser, age 96, of Boulder City, Nevada passed away on Thursday March 7, 2019. Alice was born January 9, 1923 in Boston, Massachusetts. Alice graduated from Beverly High School in 1941, and went on the serve honorably during WWII in the United States Marine Corps.
Following her service, Alice then started a long civil service career, working as a civilian for the JAG office as a legal secretary. Little did she know that her career path would offer the opportunity to meet the love of her life and future husband at MCAS, Cherry Pointe, North Carolina, on November 23, 1963, whom was also a United States Marine stationed in the area. On February 25, 1966, the two blended their lives together at a chapel service in Fort Hamilton, New York. Although they met later in life, the couple embarked on a wonderful journey that would span for 53 years until her passing.
Alice was an avid dancer member of many dance clubs, enjoyed her big bands music, and loved to travel. Throughout her marriage to Richard, the couple enjoyed over 17 cruises, which took them all over the world.
Alice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whom was completely devoted to her family. She was always full of laughter and had a loving heart for everyone she met, and made sure to let them know. In addition, she had a soft spot for her animals; cats being her favorite.
Alice was preceded in death by two sons, Brad and David, and one sister, Kathleen. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Richard; daughter, Tina and her husband Timothy; three grandchildren: Chris, Adam, and Amanda; and two great grandchildren: Chris and Rurik III.
A service of honor for Alice will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2019 from 1:20 PM to 2:00 PM at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005. She will be laid to rest with her brothers and sisters in arms at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
