Thomas Norman Ramsay Jr., or Joe as he was better known passed away on April 1, 2023 at his home in Beaumont, California. He was born on August 13, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan to his parents, Thomas and Eva Ramsay. Joe was the second oldest of four children. Joe was very athletic growing up playing baseball and being part of the swim team at El Segundo High School. He was also musically inclined. He played the saxophone and clarinet, loving big band and jazz music. After high school, he attended some college before joining the U.S. Navy to serve his country honorably in the Korean War. After his honorable discharge from the military he eventually married the love of his life Linda on April 19, 1964. Joe and Linda got married in Las Vegas, Nevada. Joe was a loving husband to Linda and a dedicated father to their two children. Eventually Joe joined the iron workers union which he continued to do over 20 years until his retirement. After retirement, Joe enjoyed playing golf and spending time with friends and family. He was an amazing man who will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Ramsay Sr. and Eva, and all three of his siblings: Betty, Cali and Penny. Joe is survived by his wife of nearly 59 years Linda, his children Penny and Curtis along with two granddaughters, Jenna and Ruby. He is also survived by Tom King and Kathy Terry. Both children from a previous marriage. Tom has a daughter Corinne and grandson Ethan. Kathy has two sons, Kyle and Jeff. Memorial services will be held on April 19, 2023 at 10:00am at Miller-Jones Mortuary located at 1501 W. Florida Ave, Hemet, California 92543.
