Ruben Y. Lujan

Our Daddy, Ruben Y. Lujan suffered a massive pulmonary embolism on Sunday. He succumbed to its effects on Monday, April 18, 2016, his 83rd birthday. He lived on the Swan/Lujan Ranch and was a healthy and active gardener. A good and honest man, he will always be remembered as a devoted father who took great pride in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His death was as he wished, quick and merciful... but so very unexpected. Because our Daddy was a very private man, we have decided to follow his wishes and keep his burial closed to all but his immediate family. He had many people who knew and loved him so we will be planning an open Celebration of his Life soon. Ruben is survived by his daughters, Annamarie(Dave) Swan, RoseAnne (Robert) Adams, Suzanne (Frank) Jaramillo, DeeAnne (Darin) Ferguson, and Senofie Lujan; son, Sharome Lujan; grandchildren, Tatrina, Brittany, Sarah, Kayla, Tierra, Aliyha, Makayla, Shania, Stephanie, Larry, Joshua, Ruben, Jared, and Ian; great-grandchildren Julian, Holly, Sonora, Diego, Ruby, Ramone.

God looked around his garden

And found an empty place.

He then looked down upon the earth,

And saw your tired face.

He put His arms around you

And lifted you to rest.

God's garden must be beautiful,

He always takes the best.

He saw the road was getting rough

And the hills were hard to climb.

So He closed your weary eyelids

And whispered "Peace be thine."

It broke our hearts to lose you

But you did not go alone...

For part of us went with you

The day God called you home.

We will always love you Daddy and miss you forever!
