He is survived by his lovely wife whom he cherished deeply Annie “Christine” Saenz and his only son Matthew (wife Laura) Saenz, and children Ruben, Corrina, Lorrina, Evarrina, and Dorrina. Also Samuel and Tonya Abram (step-daughter) who he lovingly referred to as his daughter, and his grandson’s Samson and Solomon Abram. He is also survived by his siblings: Pearl Conley (husband Jack), Yolanda Landin (husband Benny) and children Roman and Riah; Danny Saenz (wife Michelle) and children Amelia and Sara. Furthermore, many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Raised in Fontana, he attended Fontana Jr. High where he developed a love for musical arts and learned to play the saxophone and continued to play at Fontana High School with the marching band where he then graduated in 1978. After High School, Mario found employment as an auto mechanic and auto upholsterer, while playing the Saxophone for the Band “Sacrifice” whom he was an original member of. In 1983, Mario became a father for the first time to a precious son Matthew James whom he loved very much.
He dedicated his life to his God Jehovah on Sept 21, 1996. He loved to give talks on the Theocratic Ministry School and later the Christian Life and Ministry School. Early on he developed an astounding zeal for the ministry, even auxiliary pioneering on several occasions. He found great joy in studying and reading the word of God.
In 1998, he married the love of his life, Christine, and was blessed with 20 years of marriage. They enjoyed cooking, traveling, music, studying the Bible, and most of all enjoying each other’s company.
Mario’s compassionate nature moved him to care for the ill and he went on to begin training for Medical Assisting in 2001. From there he went on to pursue a career in nursing and succeeded in becoming a Licensed Vocational Nurse in 2005. He was delighted in this profession in assisting others up until 2013 when his health took a turn.
The latter part of Mario’s life befell him with major health issues that he refused to let interfere with his joy for life. Mario was not one to complain and refused to be a burden on those around him. His big heart, sense of humor, funny stories, and contagious laughter will surely be missed by all who knew and loved him. Mario had confidence in the resurrection hope and had faith in John 5:28 and Job 14:15, and until then he awaits in Jehovah’s precious memory.
