Lola D. Gwin was born in Blansett township of Beauchamp, Arkansas on April 16, 1933. Her parents were James and Ida Finley. Lola had 6 brothers and sisters: Ester, Ola, Margaret, Luree, William and Raymond.
Lola resided most of her youth in Wister, Oklahoma.
On October 14, 1952, Lola married Buddy Gwin. Buddy and Lola relocated from Wister, Oklahoma to San Francisco, California. They bought their first home in Redwood City, and then moved to San Mateo where they lived for more then 30 years, and raised their 3 children - Jerry, Thomas, and Sharon. Later they moved to Manteca, California for aprrox. 20 years, and then their final home was in Murrieta, California for the last 18 years.
Lola was a passionate homemaker giving much love to her family. Lola enjoyed family holiday gatherings with relatives and camping trips. Her and Bud became avid RV’ers, and they ventured on many trips around the U.S. in their RV.
Lola, passed away under loving care at a private home in Temecula, California at the age of 87 on April 26, 2020. Lola was preceded in death by Buddy, who passed in 2017, and leaves behind 3 children (Jerry, Thomas, and Sharon), 2 grandchildren (Philip and Kristin), and 5 great grandchildren, as well as many beloved relatives and dear friends.
Lola will be greatly missed, but she would want everyone to be happy with the memories of the wonderful times shared with her.
