Jefferson Winbert Myers, 99, passed away on Monday, March 09, 2020, in Moreno Valley, California. He was born on Wednesday, June 02, 1920 in Lebanon, Pennsylvania to his parents, Charles and Mabel Myers. Jefferson was an only child. After high school, Jeff joined the Army Air Corps. He primarily was stationed in Washington DC during his enlistment. He was very successful in his military career and became a Sergeant and a propeller specialist. Jeff received Presidential Clearance in the military as well. Jeff went on to marry Emily Mae Myers in 1943 and they had two daughters. After Emily passed, Jeff became very active in local choir groups, such as the Hemet West "Westerneers". While in that choir group, he met Lillian "Frankie" Surber-Myers and they married in 1998. Jeff was a remarkable man. He could cook, clean, iron, and fix anything. Jeff was an amazing wood worker and problem solver. While living at the Village in Hemet, he was known as the "Fix-It Man". All the residents at the Village would go to Jeff if they needed help solving a problem or just needed his handyman skills. He was an amazing man who will be missed by all that knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mabel Myers and his first wife, Emily Myers, Jeff is survived by his wife, Lillian "Frankie" Surber-Myers, his daughters, Sally Myers and Heidi Myers, and his beloved cat, Foxy. Interment will be held privately at Riverside National Cemetery.
