Evelyn’s greatest gifts were her love, caring and compassion for her family, friends and community. If she were here she would tell you her greatest joy in life was raising her two children Joseph Kenneth Williams Jr. and Jennifer Lynn Williams. They were blessed to have her as their mother to teach, encourage and above all else love them unconditionally. “I am the woman I am because of her, said Jennifer.” Evelyn loved helping others. She shared her gifts in different ways. She thought of her friends and her children's friends as part of the family and provided them with support in times of need.
Evelyn put herself through school to become a Registered Nurse so that she could provide for her family and serve others. She enjoyed being there for others during her 35 years as a nurse. She helped during joyous times in life when welcoming a new baby into the world, helping others through illness and helping make comfortable those and their families on their final journey in life. She continued her life of service with her volunteer work and using her talent creating blankets for children in need. Evelyn loved the Lord. She praised him and thanked him for the many blessings she received and believed that with his love and strength she was able to endure the many challenges that her life held. We believe that when her final journey began, God came to her and let her know her time on earth was ending. He stood beside her until he escorted her home.
Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Lynn Williams of Hemet; her brother Robert B Maxwell of Riverside; 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She went home to heave to be with God; her parents, Evelyn May Willis Maxwell and Robert Benjamin Maxwell; her husband Morris C Wellington; and her son Joseph Kenneth Williams, Jr. May they all reside together in Heaven for eternity.
