Edward Tellez

Edward Tellez passed away at the age of 73, on Monday, April 17, 2023, in Hemet, California. He was born to Jose Caballero Tellez and Corine Lopez Carrillo, on Tuesday, July 26, 1949, in Ysleta, a community in El Paso, Texas; and he was one of 12 children.

Edward proudly served in the U.S. Army for 4 years. While balancing his career as a Master Sergeant at the Pechanga Casino, he was also an amazing and dedicated father. Edward was married for nearly 50 wonderful years to the love of his life and his best friend, Irene Ann Tellez, before her passing in 2019. They were blessed with 9 children that would later make him a grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great grandfather. In his spare time, he enjoyed time with his family.

Edward is survived by his children, Irene Tellez, Cristina Valle, Amanda Vela, Michael Tellez, David Tellez, Gilbert Rea, Cynthia Rea, Frankie Rea, Gina Rea, Tony Rea, and Ray Rea; 46 grandchildren; 74 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; and 5 siblings.
